Don’t just make a statement… be the statement! My mother always told me to march to the beat of my own drum. Stand out. Be yourself. Make your own statement. My art is a reflection of my uniqueness and individuality. It is abstract, modern, bold and edgy. One of our black & white series was featured on display in the 2018 Parade of Homes Gold Winner! My pieces boast bold black & white or grey scale, monochromatic or intense color schemes. They are strong – full of texture and emotion. They tell a story about standing up for what is right, thinking outside the box, remembering to have fun and to live life to the fullest! My work is predominantly stretched canvas with acrylic or mixed media, but my portfolio comprises some wood / metal and charcoal sketch work. I’ve even been known to paint rocks I find in the woods. As a former Lees summit Business owner and native, I spent years trying to find a fit for my insane creativity. I have always sketched, colored, painted and created as a hobby since I was a small child, but it wasn’t until recently I was motivated to pursue a career as a professional artist. After an MBA, international college, corporate America, and the launch of a successful small business, I still felt like something was missing. Being an artist is a way for me to help fund raise and stay involved with the community and all my wonderful clients. I have realized that creating art for others is my real passion. I pour my heart and soul into my pieces and they provide an avenue to not only share a piece of myself and inspire others, but to help donate and raise money for significant nonprofits and charity events.
